OPEN HIVE / MUSIC – A Duo of Duos: Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers & Wendy Ramsay and Open Book

  • Beahive 291 Main Street Beacon, NY, 12508 United States (map)

Doors: 7 PM
Open Book: 7:30 PM
JPR & Wendy Ramsay: 8:30 PM

I'm not a performer, but a presenter this time around! I invite you to join me and some fantastic musical friends at Beahive (a gorgeous, collaborative co-working space on Main Street in Beacon, NY) for an intimate evening of inventive guitar-work and vibrant vocal harmonies, with two dynamic musical duos: Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers & Wendy Ramsay and Open Book.

Cold Spring-based husband and wife duo Michele and Rick Gedney are Open Book — melodically inventive, harmony-singing Hudson Valley favorites whose first two albums received national airplay and critical acclaim. Their third album, Grateful, was released last June.

They’ll share the bill with guitarist Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers, grand prize winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, founding editor of Acoustic Guitar magazine, and his sidekick, multi-instrumentalist/songwriter Wendy Ramsay. Based in upstate New York, the two musicians collaborated on Rodgers’ latest album, Almost There, which won the 2015 Sammy Award for Best Americana, and were selected to perform in the Emerging Artist Showcase at this year’s Falcon Ridge Folk Festival.

$15 advance / $20 door
*All proceeds go to the artists
